The University of Macau (UM) today (10 November) held a lecture titled ‘The Discourse Analysis of Revisionism and Contemporary Sino-American Relations’, as part of university lecture series in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the university. It was the inaugural lecture of the new lecture series titled ‘University of Macau Development Foundation Named Professorship Lecture’, under the well-received ‘University Lecture Series’. Michael Hui, vice rector (academic affairs) of UM, officiated at the launch ceremony for the lecture series. According to him, the series aim to strengthen communication between UMDF named professors and the community and to improve the academic atmosphere in Macao.

Richard Hu, University of Macau Development Foundation Distinguished Professor of Politics and Public Policy and dean of the UM Faculty of Social Sciences, was the speaker. During the lecture, Prof Hu discussed the existing discourse on revisionism and the relations between China and the United States. The talk attracted many UM faculty members and students, as well as members of the general public.
