Students visit the Exhibition Hall of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin
The Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) of the University of Macau (UM) recently organised a study tour to the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin for students in the Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) programme. Led by FSS Dean Hu Weixing and Assistant Professor Chan Kin Sun, the first and second cohorts of students in the DPA programme joined the one-day study tour and visited the Exhibition Hall of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Hengqin International Financial Center, the Hengqin-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Valley, and the UM Science & Technology Research Institute in Zhuhai. At the Hengqin-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Valley, Hu hosted a sharing session in which speakers from different enterprises in Hengqin shared their work experience with students in the programme. As the first study tour outside Macao for the DPA students, the field trip aimed to help students learn more about public administration and management models of different enterprises and organisations and grasp cutting-edge public administration theories and knowledge through site visits.
