1. Summer Camp Introduction and Application
The Faculty of Social Sciences will continue to organize the “FSS Summer Camp Programme 2024” this summer, which includes professional courses, interest seminars, local exchange activities and visits to Macao’s history and culture. Through this programme, Mainland students will be able to deepen their understanding of the University of Macau and at the same time get to know the curriculum and development of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Activity Period: 28 July – 2 August, 2024 (6 days)
Language: English/Chinese
Participants: Mainland Undergraduate (Year 3 and Year 4) and Master students
Application: Interested students should fill in the following application form to submit an application. (Quotas are limited)

  • Costs related to valid travel documents, visa fees*, and other relevant expenses for entering and leaving Macao (For details, please refer to the requirements of the immigration service from the Macao S.A.R., Public Security Police Force)
  • All personal expenses during free time
  • Travel insurance* required to enter Macao, valid travel insurance has been purchased before joining the camp

* To ensure enrollment, selected students must upload (a) valid Macao visas or receipt for visa application; and (b) provide proof of travel insurance to confirm their participation. Otherwise, it will be considered as giving up, and the vacant quota may be allocated for supplementary selection.

About the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS)
The Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) is one of the oldest academic units offered by the University of Macau. The Faculty aims to provide a holistic, student-centred liberal arts education which is designed to prepare students to be knowledgeable, informed, and productive global citizens equipped to contribute to a complex and dynamic planetary condition. The Faculty of Social Sciences has five departments: Communication, Economics, Government and Public Administration, Psychology, and Sociology, offering five bachelor’s degree programs, nine master’s degree programs, and seven doctoral degree programs, with English as the primary language of instruction.

The Creative Media Laboratory is designed to support multi-media productions and provide a venue for television and film production and professional filming. It provides students with a broadcast-quality virtual studio and creative space to support the local creative production industry.
