To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Academic Symposium on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be held in Macau. This symposium is jointly organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Macau and the Institute of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao Development Studies of Sun Yat-sen University. Themed “Focusing on Macau, Embracing the Greater Bay Area,” the symposium aims to explore Macao’s critical role and development pathways within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

Key discussions will focus on governance innovation, economic diversification, technological advancement, and socio-cultural issues in Macau and In-Depth Cooperation Zone. The symposium will focus on topics such as governance innovation, economic diversification, technological innovation, and socio-cultural issues related to Macao and the In-Depth Cooperation Zone. It will bring together scholars, researchers, and experts to explore strategies for promoting regional collaboration, advancing Macao’s sustainable prosperity, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the Greater Bay Area. Through dialogue and exchange, the symposium aspires to provide intellectual support and innovative ideas for the long-term development of the Greater Bay Area. Details are as below:
