Abstract & Speaker:

Relations between Russia and China go back as far as the late 17th century and have come a long way over the 400 years of history. Throughout these years, our countries found a positive model for contacts and mutually beneficial cooperation, which became possible due to the effort of diplomats from both sides.

Mr. Igor SAGITOV will share his unique experience of life as a Russian diplomat in South Korea, North Korea, a place few people have ever been to, and, of course as the Head of mission in Hong Kong. Consul General will also give a glimpse of the Russian diplomatic presence in China, which is indissolubly linked with the history of the Russian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Mission in Beijing.
