They believe that Macao’s prosperity and stability after its return to the motherland benefited from the high degree of social consensus on politics and high support for the administration of the Macao SAR Government. The formation of this political consensus reflects the governance model with Macao characteristics. Macao governance is a model that combines “meta-governance” and “asymmetric network governance”. This model helps Macao society reach political consensus and also has It is conducive to establishing healthy central-local relations, grassroots democracy and ensuring social stability.
