The University of Southern Denmark welcomed the first students onto the campus in Odense in September 1966, and things have been developing by leaps and bounds ever since.

Estimated Costs for One-Semester Exchange (Around 5 Months)

Students will pay their tuition fees to the University of Macau (no further tuition costs will be charged by the partner University) and meet all the expenses associated with this exchange, such as but not limited to, air tickets, visa application fee, boarding fee, subsistence etc.

Approximate expenses per month in Euros (for reference only) Accommodation: approx. € 350 – 500 / month

Food: approx. € 250 – 350 / month

Public Transport: approx. € 50 / month

Others: approx. € 100 – 200 for books

Who can apply for this exchange program?

  • All FSS Bachelor students with a CGPA greater than 3.0 (CGPA slightly below are acceptable) are eligible to apply. Bachelor candidates must have completed at least their first year of study in UM by the start date of the exchange period.
  • All FSS Master students with a CGPA greater than 3.3 (CGPA slightly below is acceptable) are eligible to apply. Candidates must have completed ALL of the UM courses in UM by the start date of the exchange period.

Fill in the requested information via the online application system (https://isw.um.edu.mo/seas) together with any other supportive documents (such as CV, cover letter, language proficiency certificates, etc.) that will help you get into this programme.

Important Notes for Exchange Students

  • Read the “Rules for Semester-based Outgoing Exchange Programmes” and pay attention to the credits requirement.
  • Submit ‘Learning Agreement’ for preliminary checking on credit transfer before departure.
  • Acknowledge that the course arrangement during exchange study is subject to change and it is not guaranteed that the credit transfer could be made.
  • Sign a Participant Declaration before departure.
  • Acknowledge to submit the ‘Course Exemption / Wavier Form’ upon arrival after exchange for the official procedures of credit transfer.
