2025 AAPA annual conference was held at Tsinghua University’s School of Public Policy and Management in Beijing from 17 to 19 October. The theme of this year’s conference focused on “Public Administration in Asia: The First Quarter of the 21st Century and Beyond.” The 3-day conference provided opportunities for scholars and practitioners from diverse fields to reflect on significant strides made in public administration across Asia, to identify key lessons learned for the future, and to explore current and emerging challenges while proposing innovative strategies to address them.
As one of keynote speakers at the conference, Prof. Richard Weixing Hu, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, gave a speech entitled “Transforming Public Administration Education in the Era of Intelligent Digitalization”. He emphasized that the education system should adhere to a people-centered public service philosophy, strengthen students’ digital literacy, and cultivate public governance professionals capable of adapting to the digital era.
The Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) is a leading organization in the field of public administration across Asia and the world. Over the past decade, AAPA’s annual conferences have brought together scholars, students, and practitioners to showcase cutting-edge research and best practices in public administration.
