To help secondary school students interested in applying through the “Principal’s Recommended Admission” better understand the latest developments and curriculum offerings at the University of Macau (UM), the university recently held a successful briefing session for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) set up information booths for each of its departments—including Communication, Economics, Government and Public Administration, Psychology, and Sociology—where professors introduced the unique features and academic philosophies of their programmes.
The event attracted many outstanding local high school students and their parents, creating a lively atmosphere. Participants also visited the faculty’s Creative Media Lab to gain deeper insight into the latest teaching facilities. During the admission talk, Prof. Yibai Yang, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) of FSS, introduced the faculty’s latest academic developments and the distinctive design of each discipline.
The briefing aimed to showcase UM’s academic environment and diverse development opportunities to outstanding high school students, with the hope of encouraging more talented local students to choose UM for their further studies.
