The question is whether the rise in the number of labor protests will lead to more automation. Or does more automation lead to fewer jobs and lower wages, leading to more protests?

At the 5th Computational Social Science Workshop recently held by FSS, Professor Han Zhang from the School of Humanities and Social Science of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, had a relevant discussion with UM members.

Professor Richard Weixing Hu, Dean of FSS, mentioned that the topic of the speech is relevant to today’s hot topics such as human and technology, which will certainly bring a lot of discussion and reflection on artificial intelligence and human society.

Professor Tianji Cai, Associate Dean of FSS, welcomed Prof. Zhang for sparing time to give a lecture to UM members.
