One-semester/One-year Exchange Program with Susquehanna University, USA

Information about Susquehanna University

Susquehanna University is a national liberal arts college committed to excellence in educating undergraduate students for productive, creative and reflective lives of achievement, leadership and service in a diverse and interconnected world. The university is located in Selinsgrove, Pa., a town of about 5,000 people situated on the banks of the Susquehanna River, 50 miles north of the state capital, Harrisburg, USA. The campus is about 90 minutes from the Pocono ski areas, and about a two-three-hour drive from New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Exchange Program Costs (subject to changes):
Selected students are expected to pay tuition fees to the University of Macau and meet all the living expenses while they are studying in the USA. The estimated minimum living cost over there for one semester is about US$6,000** in addition to an international round trip air ticket for about US$1,000-1,200.

** This was the requested amount of 2015. The amount will be varied as per recommendation from Susquehanna University. Successful applicant(s) will be notified the requested amount in due course.

Who can apply for this exchange program? 
All the current first, second and third year FSS students with a GPA greater than 3.0 (slightly below is acceptable) are eligible for application. However, the final selection is not merely based on GPA. Other factors and performances such as other capabilities and talents than book knowledge, social responsibility and activity, learning attitude and motivation, service to community, etc. will be considered as well.

  3. A cover letter (Describing why you are interested in applying this exchange program and what your objective is; What are your strengths and weaknesses. Why should we pick you?)
  4. Transcript in English (since year 1). (Students are required to obtain an official transcript from Registry)
  5. A certificate or official document of your English proficiency, i.e. TOEFL, IELTS or CET scores (results could be submitted later if necessary)
  6. Any other supportive documents that will help you get into this program.

** Please note that all selected students have to apply visas on their own.**
