Who can apply for this exchange programme?
- All FSS Bachelor students with a CGPA greater than 3.0 (CGPA slightly below could be acceptable) are eligible to apply. Bachelor candidates must have completed at least their first year of study in UM by the start date of the exchange period.
Exchange Programme Costs:
Selected students are expected to pay tuition fees to the University of Macau and meet all the accommodation, meals and living expenses while they are studying in the host university. The estimated minimum cost including room, full meal plan, insurance and activity fee for one semester will be about USD$9,550 (Cost of AY2024/2025, for reference only). This amount would not include books or miscellaneous. Students also have to pay for the cost of transportation such as international round trip air tickets and local transportation fares, etc. In addition, selected students may be required to have a bank deposit as a financial commitment to support your stay in the USA.
Please note that all selected students have to apply for visas on their own.

Fill in the requested information via the online application system (https://isw.um.edu.mo/seas) together with any other supportive documents (such as CV, cover letter, language proficiency certificates, etc.) that will help you enter this programme.
IMPORTANT:
When submitting the application, applicants should attach ‘A certificate or official document of your English Proficiency, i.e. TOEFL / IELTS scores (result must be within recent 2 years)’

Important Notes for Exchange Students
- Read the “Rules for Semester-based Outgoing Exchange Programmes” and pay attention to the credits requirement.
- Acknowledge that the course arrangement during exchange study is subject to change and it is not guaranteed that the credit transfer could be made.
