History graduates have found many opportunities in the rapidly developing region of the Pearl River Delta and beyond. As the world becomes increasingly interdependent, demand for historian professionals has increased in all spheres of society, including schools, museums, libraries, archives, publishers and media groups, tourist companies, govern mental institutes, law firms, research institutes, businesses, and cultural heritage preservation and protection organizations. Graduates with training in history develop superior English and research abilities that make them particularly attractive to many corporations seeking capable and competitive individuals for positions as managers, executives, secretaries, market researchers and in many other capacities. Graduates in history can also choose to expand their academic horizon by pursuing MA or PhD degrees in history, law, politics, sociology, literature, public administration and other disciplines.
