To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Macao’s return to China, the International Academic Seminar on “The Practice and Prospects of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ in Macao” hosted by the Sun Yat-sen University was held recently. The seminar invited more than 100 guests from experts and scholars from universities such as the University of Macau, Peking University, and Tsinghua University, as well as the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, and other circles.

Professor Xu Jianhua, associate professor of the Department of Sociology of FSS, believes that “adhering to the foundation of ‘one country’, the benefits of ‘two systems’ actively integrating into the overall development of the country.
